#Moving Home: Packing Crockery and Glass items

Moving a home can be a tedious job. But you can make it as smooth and safe as possible with thoughtful preparation, experienced advice, and a good measure of caring and patience.
Start your moving plans with a complete list of the items you want to pack and move, and then prioritize their importance. This simple step will give you the basis for estimating the volume of truck space in cubic feet that will be required for the move. You can then obtain moving cost estimates from different companies and decide which possessions to move.
Crockery and glass items, most probably the kitchen ware, may need extra care, so pack them in paper before bubble wrapping and transferring them to carton boxes. Fragile items you may have kept on a shelf for safety’s sake should receive the same careful treatment.  Make sure that fragile items are not loaded beneath any heavy items in the truck. In transit they can break and when you reach your destination you may not find them in their original condition and usability.
To keep track of your possessions, label or paste colored paper tags on each bag and box and make a list of each container and its contents. With clear labeling you can locate and place your items where you want them at your new place.
